Data, discourse and creative impulses

On February 6 and 7, 2025, the NFDI4Culture Forum took place at KreativInstitut.OWL - under the title “Music - Media - Cultural Heritage: Intersections between Data, Research and Infrastructure”. Experts and interested parties from the fields of film, media and musicology discussed current challenges in dealing with multimodal research data.

In diverse sessions, central topics such as (infra)structures, audiovisual research data, digital accessibility and the role of artificial intelligence in the cultural sector were examined from different perspectives. The discussions revolved around the use, storage and analysis of research data, as well as ethical issues, legal frameworks and technological developments that could shape the handling of cultural heritage data in the future.
