Town administration, economy and university in dialog

Around 60 entrepreneurs met at the Kreativ Campus Detmold on February 21 to discuss important topics relating to local business development and the development of the cultural and creative industries in the region. Mayor Frank Hilker and GILDE-Managing Director Thorsten Brinkmann had invited to this informative exchange, which took place in the new KreativInstitut.OWL (KIO) building.

The event focused on the role of the Kreativ Campus Detmold as a hub where science, business and administration work together to strengthen the cultural and creative industries in the region. Leonie Hans and Prof. Guido Falkemeier from KIO presented insights and perspectives of the institute, which represents a unique cooperation between three universities and offers both small and medium-sized companies potential for entering virtual worlds.

Katrin Thaler from Kreativ Campus OWL e.V highlighted the variety of activities aimed at sustainably supporting the cultural and creative industries and invited those present to actively participate.

Further future prospects for Detmold as a location were outlined, with the financial consolidation of the city also being discussed.
