The picture shows the construction site at Bielefelder Strasse 66 in Detmold, where a multi-storey building is being erected. A construction crane lifts a long beam while a construction worker stands on the ground and positions the beam.
Scaffolding surrounds the concrete structure and wooden frame constructions can be seen in the foreground.
The image shows a close-up of the building façade of the Kreativ Institut OWL (KIO) with rounded edges and a vertical structure. The façade consists of several wavy horizontal lines that extend over the entire height of the building. The sky in the background is slightly cloudy, with patches of blue between the clouds. The perspective is directed upwards from below, emphasizing the curved architecture of the building.
Quote The institute generates, transfers and imparts knowledge. It brings together creative minds from business and science.

Prof. Dr. Guido Falkemeier

The KreativInstitut.OWL on the Kreativ Campus Detmold is a association in context of science, consisting of a university (Paderborn University), a university of arts (Detmold University of Music) and a university of applied sciences (OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts). This instiute is the only one of its kind in Germany to combine creative skills from different disciplines. It pools expertise from media studies and computer science as well as from neighbouring creative disciplines and provides high-quality infrastructure that is to be used for research, transfer and science-based dialogue with the creative industries.
