The VR and PC application “RE:Constructors” is a cooperative game of skill set in a futuristic setting that brings two players together. The VR player controls D.Stroy, a robust demolition robot responsible for removing the remains of the old world and extracting valuable resources. The PC player takes control of D.Sign, a small and agile construction robot that uses these raw materials to build a new world worth living in. Only through their close cooperation will they succeed in transforming the mistakes of the past into positive and innovative changes.

In cooperation with STRABAG AG, we (Prof. Alexander Kutter, Kim Salschneider, Tobias Knödel, VR Insight) developed this application to address young people directly at Ideenexpo 2024, but also subsequently at other job fairs, and to get them to the exhibition stand. A complete success, almost 1000 players wanted to rebuild the world at Ideenexpo 2024. The game results and screenshots of the city and from the gameplay were saved for posterity via a landing page and could be forwarded to friends and acquaintances using a QR code and their own cell phone.
