A concert of a special kindEin Konzert der besonderen Art

A top-class open-air concert recently thrilled 200 visitors in the park at the Landesmuseum Detmold. Surrounded by a soundscape created by loudspeakers, guests were immersed in a unique acoustic world—virtual acoustics like those in a concert hall, even though they were outside. The immersive effect was particularly impressive when the virtual acoustics suddenly fell silent and silence filled the room. But it wasn't just the technology that was innovative: the Ixora string quintet from the Detmold University of Music presented classical works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – and others that had been reinterpreted with the help of AI. A special highlight was Johann Philipp Kirnberger's musical dice game: the audience rolled the dice live, determining the notes to be played, which the musicians then performed spontaneously. The classical part of the program culminated in the exclusive composition “Klangpfade – Eine interaktive musikalische Reise” (Sound Paths – An Interactive Musical Journey) by Matthias Bucher.
Impressions of the concert

In the second part, DJ To'beat'us heated things up with electronic beats – also interactive, as the audience was able to directly influence the music. The result was an original yet harmonious blend of classical and futuristic sounds that touched all the senses.

This unforgettable evening was organized in cooperation with Kreativ Campus Detmold e.V. and the cultural team of the city of Detmold.
