A team day combining historical monuments and digital culture

For our team, the annual project day began with a visit to the exhibition “150 Years of the Hermann Monument.”

With its digital media production department, KIO itself was involved in the exhibition at the Lippisches Landesmuseum.

Nevertheless, the recently opened exhibition was still new to many of us. This made it all the more exciting to explore the content together and exchange impressions. This led to many conversations about our own work, different perspectives on the exhibition, and the merging of digital and historical worlds.

During the joint lunch that followed, away from the usual working environment, the focus was on personal exchange and looking back together on the 2025 research year. And then we continued on towards Hanover...

Arcade machines, game consoles, and handhelds! The HI-SCORE in Hanover is an interactive video game museum.

After lunch, we continued in the afternoon with a visit to the HI-SCORE Arcade Museum. There, we dived into the history of computer games. The playful environment created a relaxed atmosphere and promoted teamwork! Trying things out together and cheering each other on strengthened the sense of community within the team and highlighted how important informal encounters are for good cooperation.

Overall, our team day contributed to strengthening communication and cohesion in a playful way!

A very strong foundation for the KIO year 2026!
