Design Sprint Week
In November 2023 the Design Sprint Week took place for the first time at KreativInstitut.OWL, where students explored AI-based business models.
The week started with lectures by experts such as Katrin Thaler, Conrad Dreyer, Mona Makebrandt and Prof. Dr. Daniel Hunold, who offered insights into entrepreneurship and the application of AI. In the following days, the participants developed innovative concepts in workshops and group work phases under the guidance of other sprintmasters with Birgit Schneider, Gero Brinkmann and Vincent Glomm, using the first floor of the KIO to advance their project ideas in a wide variety of work zones.
Understanding and using AI as a tool for their own work. I am delighted that students were able to make this the focus of their start-up idea and presented great products.

Three outstanding ideas were presented and evaluated by a panel of experts: "mediBOT", an intelligent medicine cabinet, "highWAI", software to improve communication and organization in companies, and "mealymate", an app for nutrition plans and food organization. The students will continue to develop their projects with the support of Kreativ Campus Detmold e.V., Campus Foundery OWL and TRInnovationOWL.
