We were at the Film and Media Exchange in Stuttgart, where we met lots of media people and learned a lot.

KIO meets FMX
The FMX is, according to its own statements, the most influential annual gathering of members of the animation and VFX industry in Europe. We from the KreativInstitut were there together with media production students from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and exhibited our game Tabletop Tumult for testing at our joint stand alongside the students' 3D and animation work. Numerous people were able to try out the game on site and provide valuable feedback directly. Not only we, but also other universities from all over Germany were represented on site and exhibited their most exciting projects.
Defending a castle together forges a bond!
In addition to the university stands, there were also stands from industry representatives and recruiters. Here you could talk about the current state of the economy, the latest innovations in technology and the future of the industry, exchange contact details and sound out the current job market. As every year, the highlight of FMX is of course the presentations, which cover a wide range of topics from all corners of the animation and VFX world. Be it lectures on the processes, challenges and nuances of production, talks on how AI will change and influence our workflows, the masterclasses in which knowledge is imparted at first hand by long-standing industry experts or the countless making-ofs and behind-the-scenes. At FMX, you are right in the middle of it all.
